Micah Mahjoubian has over 20 years of experience in employing cutting-edge technology to help elected officials, political campaigns and advocacy organizations best communicate their message.
From 2000-2008, Micah worked for Mayor John F. Street in various capacities, including Operations Director of the Philadelphia Gaming Advisory Task Force, Deputy Secretary of External Affairs, and Operations Director of his re-election campaign. He worked with Councilman Bobby Henon to develop the first smartphone app created by a Philadelphia elected official to connect residents with city services. He also helped the Councilman launch the “Bad Neighbor Initiative” using online tools to bring attention to derelict property owners in the city. Current, Micah is working with the Philadelphia Sheriff and Philadelphia’s Board of Elections to develop online tools to make their offices more transparent.
Micah is heavily involved in LGBT activism in Philadelphia. He consults for the dmhFund, a local non-profit developing LGBT-friendly affordable senior housing. Micah also sits on the Board of the Liberty City LGBT Democrats. Micah is a graduate of American University and lives in Chinatown with his husband, Ryan Bunch, and their dog, Mouse.
